Piano Magic發跡於1996年的倫敦,先是演奏一些夢幻民謠,後期再加入電子元素,因為他們很難找到能讓他們隨心所欲的廠牌,所以也在多國的音樂廠牌裡交互留連,有英國,法國,荷蘭,美國,西班牙,較著名就是加入孕育無數知名大團的英國大廠4AD,曾被譽為4AD傑出的新秀,歌曲中不乏帶點輕柔夢幻曲調,可以說是相當入耳,詞中也極富故事性與詩意,在2006年由美國廠牌"Important Records "發行的EP"Incurable"似乎是為他們2007年的新專輯做準備,先行單曲"Incurable"有著微輕微重的電子節奏,融入以往民謠的氣味,美魅女聲與蒼白男聲似乎又令人想起已解散的"Slowdive",詞內所說的是一個無法被治癒病人的苦痛,醫生們無力的看著他,在掙扎中死去,其中一段詞是這麼說"I live inside the shadow , the shadow of a doubt""我深居在陰影中,懷疑的陰影"讓人感受悲傷不已的氣氛",EP中的第二首"I have moved into the shadow"聽起來是如此弔詭,在一個風雪交雜的小鎮村莊,又是一幅可意境的畫,亦是哀傷的故事,演奏曲"Giant Mirror to Light Up Village"從耳邊蕭蕭而來的狀闊風聲,彷彿置入寒雪般,接下來的流水聲加入弦樂與水晶音樂,把我們又帶到另一個世界,"Lights Come on at 3"延續前面幾首的意像,"it may be beautiful , but it’s a trap",對於眼前的美麗,感到懷疑,或許這又是另一個陷阱吧,歌聲這樣說著。
